These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and Inherit Health Ltd (“Inherit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your use of the Inherit mobile application, website, and related services (the “Platform”).

By creating an account or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Medical Disclaimer

The Platform provides health education, screening tools, AI-assisted preparation for appointments, and research insights for informational purposes only.

The Platform does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Nothing within the Platform should be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical advice from a qualified clinician.

Always seek the advice of your GP or other qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical condition or before making healthcare decisions.
If you believe you may have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.

Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

2. Eligibility

You must be aged 16 or over and resident in a jurisdiction where use of the Platform is lawful.

By using the Platform you confirm that:

  • You are at least 16 years old

  • All information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws

The Platform is not intended for users under 16.

3. Account Registration and Security

To use the Platform, you must register using Apple or Google single sign-on (SSO).

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account

  • All activity carried out under your login

  • Ensuring your login details remain confidential

We recommend enabling multi-factor authentication on your email or device.

We may suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably suspect misuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms.

4. Nature of the Service

Inherit provides:

  • Health surveys and screening tools

  • AI-generated appointment preparation support

  • Health education and insights

  • Optional research participation

  • Optional family data sharing features

  • Reward and engagement features

Features may change, be updated, or withdrawn at any time.

We do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.

5. Health Surveys and Screening Tools

Our surveys and screening tools are designed using clinical guidance and research partnerships.
They are intended to support awareness and preparation for healthcare interactions.

They:

  • Are based on user-provided information

  • May not reflect your full medical history

  • May produce unexpected or sensitive results

Outputs should be used only as a guide and discussed with a qualified healthcare professional where appropriate.

6. AI-Generated Appointment Support

The Platform may use artificial intelligence tools to help you prepare for healthcare appointments.

You acknowledge that:

  • AI outputs are generated automatically based on your inputs

  • Outputs are not reviewed by clinicians

  • Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate

  • They must not be used for diagnosis or clinical decision-making

AI tools are provided for informational and organisational support only.

We may store generated outputs for up to 6 months so you can access them within the Platform.

7. Data Use and Privacy

Our processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and UK data protection law, including UK GDPR.

We aim to minimise personal data collection and support anonymous or pseudonymous use where possible.

You remain responsible for any personal data you choose to upload or share within the Platform.

8. Research Participation

You may be invited to participate in research, analytics, or insight programmes.

Where required by law, we will request explicit consent before using your data for identifiable or sensitive research purposes.

We may use aggregated and anonymised data to:

  • Improve the Platform

  • Produce health insights

  • Support research and healthcare improvement

Anonymised data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

You will not receive financial compensation for participation unless explicitly stated.

You may opt out of research participation at any time within the app or by contacting us.

9. Family Data Sharing

The Platform may allow you to share selected health insights with family members or trusted individuals.

This is entirely optional and controlled by you.

You can:

  • Enable or disable sharing at any time

  • Revoke access at any time

We are not responsible for how recipients use information once shared by you.

10. Rewards, Points and Referrals

We may offer optional reward schemes, referral programmes, or incentives.

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or withdraw rewards at any time

  • Set eligibility requirements

  • Withhold rewards where misuse or fraud is suspected

Attempting to manipulate or abuse reward systems may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Rewards have no cash value unless explicitly stated.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt to access other users’ data

  • Submit malicious code or attempt to disrupt the Platform

  • Create multiple accounts to exploit rewards

  • Provide deliberately false or misleading health information

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to copy the Platform

We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these rules.

12. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with third-party services such as:

  • Apple or Google authentication

  • NHS or healthcare systems (where available)

  • Analytics or infrastructure providers

We are not responsible for third-party services, content, or availability.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms.

13. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, technology, and materials within the Platform are owned by or licensed to Inherit Health Ltd.

You may not:

  • Copy or reproduce content

  • Reverse engineer the Platform

  • Use our branding without written permission

You retain ownership of any content you submit but grant us a licence to use it to operate and improve the Platform.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

  • You breach these Terms

  • We are required to do so by law

  • We discontinue the Platform

Where possible, we will provide reasonable notice.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Inherit Health Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect or consequential losses

  • Health decisions made based on Platform information

  • Loss of data or service interruption

  • Reliance on AI-generated outputs

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • Any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law

16. Your Data Rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data

  • Correct inaccurate data

  • Request deletion

  • Restrict or object to processing

  • Request a copy of your data

We will respond in accordance with UK data protection law.

17. Changes to the Platform or Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Where changes are material, we will notify users via:

  • Email (where available)

Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
